26/06/17 - Thanks very much to our Facebook group admin Claire to alerting us to the fact that Sizzling pubs now have labelled vegan dishes. The Welsh pubs have been added to the guide as consider entries. Most have four suitable options: Grilled vegetable jambalaya, sweet potato, lentil & spinach dhansak, superfood salad and jerk bean burger (no bun). These are The Nine Giants (Llanishen, Cardiff), The Village Inn (Pentwyn, Cardiff), The Ffrith Hotel (Prestatyn, Denbighshire), The Haywain (Caldicot, Monmouthshire), The Bryncoch Inn (Neath, Neath Port Talbot), The Stone House (Maesglas, Newport), The Pottery (Treforest, Rhondda Cynon Taf), The Marquis Arms (Fforestfach, Swansea), The Fendrod (Llansamlet, Swansea), The Deer's Leap (Morriston, Swansea), The Crow's Nest (Llanyrafon, Torfaen) and The Colcot Arms Hotel (Barry, Vale of Glamorgan). Three other pubs just have the dhansak and superfood salad on the menu; The Moat House Hotel (Caerphilly, Caerphilly), The Bird In Hand (Fforest, Carmarthenshire) and The Linden Tree (West Cross, Swansea).
25/06/17 - Thanks to Anthony for posting in our Facebook group about Rag & Bone a coffee shop in West Cross, Swansea that is popular with local vegans. The entry is quite basic, so if anybody has further information about them, please let us know.
25/06/17 - Thank you very much to Clare for submitting her very detailed research on Golden Garden Chinese takeaway in Central Newport. We have updated their website entry accordingly. She also had a disappointing trip to Chip Stop in Pill, Newport. Our guide had stated they provide vegan chips. They do not, they are cooked in the same oil as meat and fish. Sorry to Clare and we have changed them to a warning.
