Our comments: There are two labelled vegan dishes on the menu; herbed sautéed mushrooms with sliced tomato on toast and penne pasta with tomato & basil. Inform the friendly, helpful staff that you are vegan, in case alterations need to be made; they understand the vegan diet well. There may be other dishes that can be adapted to be suitable. Soya milk is stocked for drinks.

Our comments: Stall at the Farmers' market providing vegetarian food. A small amount of the produce is vegan but they will happily provide more if given notice. The pesto hummus and bread is great. Have a perfect understanding of veganism. Also offer vegan outside catering.

Our comments: Vegans should inform the staff of their diet, when ordering. They do have dishes that can be adjusted for vegans; at the time of research there was a Thai vegetable curry with coconut rice and tempura broccoli. Vegans can ring the pub between 9am and 11.30am any day to talk to the chef about other options. They also sell a couple of flavours of vegan sorbet for dessert.

Starters & Sharers: Small or large nachos (no cheese or sour cream).
Mains: Jacket potato with side salad & baked beans or Five-bean chilli ( ask for the balsamic vinaigrette salad dressing, includes drink), sweet potato, chickpea & spinach curry (served with pilau rice, naan bread, poppadums), Five-bean chilli (rice, tortilla chips), quinoa salad (quinoa, rice, avocado, adzuki beans, grilled red & yellow pepper, red cabbage, chia seeds, kale, balsamic vinaigrette instead of salad dressing) superfood pasta (giant fusilli spirals, nut-free rocket & kale pesto, peppers, cherry tomatoes, butternut squash, soya beans, broccoli, sugar snap peas, red onion, sun-dried tomatoes), smashed avocado bagel with chips or salad (with balsamic vinaigrette instead of salad dressing), naked burrito (salad leaves, Mexican-style rice, pico de gallo, guacamole, salsa, chilli peppers).

Our comments: The Cafe at Clwyd Theatr Cymru. For vegans they have a large selection of salad items including green peppers, onions, pickles, beetroot & houmous, along with vegan dressings and mayonnaise. Suitable bread and wraps are available. In addition there are a variety of vegan hot meals, including 5 bean chilli, jacket potatoes and vegan sausage, mash & beans. They also stock vegan millionaire's shortbread. The staff can advise on what is suitable. It is advisable to ring ahead and book.
