Our comments: Nothing is suitable for vegans on the regular menu but they will create a vegan menu, if a booking is made. The chef is concerned that items that are already on the menu could possibly have ingredients that are not suitable, so would rather create a new specific menu than cause any issues. They have kindly supplied us with a sample vegan menu of what they can provide, as follows.
Starters: Pea & potato soup, tomato couscous salad with pepper dressing.
Mains: Vegetable curry with basmati rice, falafel bites with butter bean & tomato basil salad.
Sweets: Red wine poached pear, cherry & almond brownie.

Our comments: The labelled vegan options on the menu are.
Starter: BBQ taco (a lightly grilled soft tortilla filled with pulled jackfruit & black beans in a smoky BBQ sauce, served with salsa & chunky guacamole).
Mains: Roasted vegetable jalfrezi (spiced mix of roasted potatoes, red onion and red & green peppers in a jalfrezi sauce, served with a mixed salad & rice), tomato, butterbean & lentil stew (tomato, butterbeans & green lentils cooked with red wine, garlic, rosemary & finished with cracked black pepper, served with a warm flatbread and mixed salad).
Pizza: Mad about the Med (red onion, sliced tomatoes, mixed peppers & fresh rocket, without cheese & pesto), BBQ jackfruit (pulled BBQ jackfruit, red onion, mixed peppers & rocket, without cheese).
Sides: Harissa rice or lime & coriander infused rice.
Puddings: Apple pie (served with vegan ice cream), praline chocolate tart (served with vegan ice cream).

The sharer of cone of rings and the sides of chips, skin-on fries, onion rings and garlic bread are vegan, if they are fried separately from animal products, ask the staff.
Can cater for vegans, by making dishes to order with what fresh produce they have in the kitchen at the time. For example a vegan diner was offered Thai sweet potato soup followed by ratatouille style stew with rice or pasta. If given 24 hours notice, they make sure there a couple of suitable choices.
