Our comments: The restaurant is very highly recommended by vegans who have visited, with the meals described as “Excellent”. At the time of research there were at least four choices of main, marked as vegan on the menu. The portions are big and service is excellent. A typical vegan meal served here could be leek & potato soup to start, roasted vegetable lasagne with salad & potatoes as a main and raspberry crumble with vanilla ice cream for dessert. They stock vegan spread for bread.

Location:
On the main Pontyclun high street, by the zebra crossing.

Our comments: Indian restaurant that only uses vegetable oil for frying. Dishes that contain dairy products are marked on the menu. The vegan friendly starter is the vegetable samosa, which is fried separately to meat products. They are able to adapt all of their curries to vegetable versions and many of the vegetarian dishes are suitable for vegans. Chips, chapatis and roti breads are also suitable. There are two types of special deals, valid from Sunday to Thursday, when you can get a mountain of food for your money. Palm Tree is highly recommended by local vegans, who have informed us that the owner is lovely and completely gets veganism.
