Comments: The breakfast menu is served until noon and the vegan options are: Roasted mushrooms on toasted artisan bread topped with roasted tomatoes and finished with a pesto drizzle, Indian spiced baked beans served on toasted artisan bread, spicy scrambled tofu, roasted mushrooms and baby tomatoes served on artisan bread and spicy scrambled tofu, roasted mushrooms and baby tomatoes served on artisan bread.
From noon to 3.30pm the lunch menu has the following suitable dishes: Homemade soup and salad with artisan bread (e.g. butternut squash, sweet potato & coconut), warm salad of roasted root vegetables, roasted garlic, pistachio nuts, cranberries, fresh herbs and orzo pasta, vegan pate of the day served with artisan bread and a selection of salads (e.g. mixed bean pate, walnut and roasted squash sandwich) and hummus of the day served with artisan bread and side salads (e.g. spicy hummus, mango chutney and herb salad sandwich). On the day our researcher visited there was also a special of chickpea, courgette, aubergine harissa spiced stew served with vegan meatballs.
Ask the staff which cakes are vegan; at the time of research there were three beautiful ones. Soya, oat and almond milks are stocked for coffees and their lovely selection of teas.
It has a nice laid back vibe with well chosen music and very friendly staff.
