Comments: Sweet and savoury vegan crepes are available. They also have suitable soups and vegan flavours of gelato ice cream and sorbet. Eat Petite the vegan cake makers supply cakes such as white chocolate & raspberry but be aware these can sell out quickly. The Crepe Escape is highly recommended by its vegan customers.

Comments: There is a vegan menu with brunch, tapas, sandwich & wrap, main, side and cake dishes. There are vegan bacon options; butty, BLT, part of the cooked breakfasts and as a burger topping. The mains are two salads, two bowls and a 'Beyond Meat' cheese burger. The cakes include dark chocolate & orange torte and carrot cake. The breakfast is scrambled tofu on toast and the lunches are aubergine bahn mi ciabatta and kale, sweet potato & edamame salad. Suitable cakes are available, dairy free milk is stocked for drinks and there is a brilliant selection of teas. They serve vegan afternoon teas with an advance booking.

Comments: They have a specific vegan menu with options such as curry, chilli, a noodle dish, salad, houmous & roasted vegetable wrap and chips. Pizza without cheese is on offer in certain pubs. The breakfast menu (served until 12 noon) includes a cooked breakfast (with Quorn sausages and vegan spread but no beans) and smashed avocado muffin. Soya milk is available for filter coffees and teas and they have a list of all their vegan friendly drinks.

Comments: The food is freshly prepared, so dishes on the menu can be adapted to vegan. They recommend giving advance notice so they are better able to prepare more options. Always have soya spread and soya milk available. They have a good understanding of veganism. The café does afternoon teas and is willing to cater for vegans with some notice. They also run monthly themed music and dinner evenings and will provide a vegan menu if given prior notice. An example of one of these five course menus is: Sharing plate comprising marinated wild mushrooms, red onion tartlet, homemade piccalilli & herb bruschetta, espresso cups of cauliflower & spring onion soup, shallot, red wine & rosemary pie with parsnip & apple mash & potatoes, vanilla ice cream, sharing plate of homemade desserts comprising spiced baked pear, plum tart & rum soaked raspberries.

Comments: The restaurant can cater for vegans if you explain the requirements when ordering. Expect dishes such as soup or asparagus for starters and fabada, pea & wild garlic risotto or Moroccan tagine for the main. They keep vegan spread in stock.
