Our comments: The Golden Lion offers a full vegan menu consisting of.
Starters: Chef’s bruschetta (avocado salsa, spiced aubergine & garlic mushroom), tofu scallops (pan fried sea spiced tofu, minted mushy peas & crispy seaweed), Caprese salad (tofu, tomatoes, cucumber, olives, salsa verde & pea shoots).
Mains: Sweet potato & wild mushroom stroganoff (served with coconut rice), vegan “nasi goreng” (spicy rice with tofu, seitan, peppers & peas), pumpkin gnocchi (sunblush tomatoes, wilted rocket & soya cream), vegan “spag bol” (seitan ragu, tomato sauce, salsa verde).
Desserts: Coconut rice pudding (passion fruit coulis & fresh berries), crepes stuffed with rhubarb & apple (served with vegan custard), vegan choco fondue (served with dipping treats).
