Comments: They state on their website that on request they can cater for vegans. If diners inform them of their requirements, when booking a meal, they can provide a vegan menu. They offer really nice traditional pub food in large portions and the staff are very helpful. The vegan menu follows but as everything is cooked from fresh visitors can suggest something that is not on the menu.
Starters: Pan fried garlic mushrooms; served on a bed of salad, bruschetta; diced tomatoes & red onions in a herb & garlic oil, served on toasted bread thins, homemade rich tomato soup; served with warm crusty bread.
Mains: Provençal pasta; rich tomato & herb sauce served on a bed of pasta, braised mushrooms & leeks; in white wine & garlic, served with fragrant rice & hand cut chips, mushroom & black pepper potato pie; mushrooms & pepper corns in vegan gravy, topped with sliced potato & oven baked, served with seasonal vegetables.
Desserts: Sorbet, poached pear.
The Little Crown comes highly recommended by vegans who have had meals here.
