Comments: The business premises of these highly recommended vegan food producers. Orders can be taken mid week, to be collected at the unit. The range changes but at the time of research consisted of Bountiful butternut curry (hunks of sweet roasted butternut with red lentils in a mild tomato & ‘creamy’ coconut curry, wrapped in shortcrust), Moorish Moroccan tagine pie (slow roasted peppers, chickpeas & fruit, cooked in tomato, chilli & roasted garlic harissa with Moroccan spices), Rendang curry pie (creamy coconut, fine beans, pepper & peanut Indonesian curry with lemongrass, tamarind & warming spices), Drunken mushroom pie (mushrooms, sautéed in garlic, with spinach & hazelnuts in a red onion & red wine gravy) and Swedey Todd pie (sundried tomatoes, lentils, roasted bell peppers, root vegetables & tomatoes with traditional Victorian herbs & spices).

Comments: There is a separate vegan menu with starters of jackfruit wedges, balsamic mushrooms and buffalo cauliflower wings, mains of tikka masala, button mushroom bourguignon pie, Moving Mountains B12 burger, buffalo cauliflower tacos and aubergine, butternut & pepper bake and desserts (all served with vegan vanilla ice cream) of raspberry jam donut pudding, chocolate & cherry cheesecake and rhubarb & ginger pudding. It also lists the vegan friendly drinks. Check that any fried items have not been cooked in the same fryers as animal products.

Comments: There are three labelled vegan main dishes on the restaurant sample menu: Wild mushroom nut roast, Moroccan tagine and spring green risotto.

Comments: The Margam Country Park tearooms can provide for vegans. During the autumn and winter they can offer soup, salad, pesto panini, chips (deep fried in a fryer only used for chips), jacket potatoes and fresh fruits. There may be more on offer the rest of the year and if vegans contact them in advance, they can cater more specifically. Stock soya milk for coffees etc.

Comments: There is a range of vegan pasties, sausage rolls etc. in the chiller that can be taken away and eaten. Also as it is a health food shop, there are plenty of suitable snacks on sale.

Comments: They have a specific vegan menu with options such as curry, chilli, a noodle dish, salad, houmous & roasted vegetable wrap and chips. Pizza without cheese is on offer in certain pubs. The breakfast menu (served until 12 noon) includes a cooked breakfast (with Quorn sausages and vegan spread but no beans) and smashed avocado muffin. Soya milk is available for filter coffees and teas and they have a list of all their vegan friendly drinks.
