Comments: The Owls is highly recommended as an accommodation for vegans; inform them you are vegan on booking. They will replace cow’s milk and biscuits in your room with soya cartons and vegan cereal bars. The breakfast consists of homemade vegan bread, fried potato mash, tomatoes, mushrooms & butternut squash sausage plus soya yogurt and a selection of cereals and juices. There are two dairy free milk options; oat and coconut. The owners are vegetarian themselves and very friendly with amazing attention to detail.

They are completely happy if given notification upon booking to make the seven course tasting menu vegan and to provide vegan breakfasts. It is a very friendly family run establishment. Dogs are welcome in the bedrooms (with a small additional fee) and in the lounge areas. They do however have foie gras on their menu, so if you are uncomfortable with this, best avoided.

They informed our researcher that they could not cater for vegans.
They informed our researcher that they do not serve any vegan food and they do not stock soya milk.
Vegans are not catered for; the chips are cooked in the same oil as the fish.
User Comments:
Chips always have been able to have been cooked in a different fryer
