Our comments: The on-site restaurant Monroe’s has a three course set vegan menu available consisting of the following dishes.
Starters: Mediterranean vegetable soup, portabello mushroom filled with red onion chutney & topped with chestnut, parsley & chive puree & toasted herb & pine nut crumb, courgette rolls with chive, roasted peppers & shallot couscous, drizzled with parsley oil.
Mains: Vegetable ribbons in a Napoli sauce topped with vegan parmesan & garlic & herb croutons, cauliflower & spinach masala with wild rice, mango chutney & a garlic & coriander naan bread, steamed cabbage ball filled with minced vegetable & fresh herbs, tomato & basil sauce.
Desserts: Forest fruits trifle with dairy free custard & cream, hot fruit pastry parcel with a warm raspberry sauce.
Bishopston is on the Gower Peninsula, about 6 miles south west of Swansea.
Inform the staff that you are vegan, they understand the diet and the food is made on the premises, so there are a couple of suitable options. The vegetable curry and sweet potato, carrot & parsnip cake are vegan and they can also provide jacket potatoes and salads.
