Comments: The vegan options on the all day menu are:
Beetroot, mint, pomegranate & almond salad. (Crunchy, sweet but smooth and satisfying thanks to the almond flakes, with a really good pomegranate and orange dressing.)
Warm lentils with roast tomatoes, red peppers, butternut squash & red onions. (Ask for no feta, they can probably put avocado or some nuts in instead.)
Antipasto. (A selection of everything vegetarian on the menu, just ask for it to be vegan and they will make it with bruschetta or ciabatta instead of focaccia and sub the feta for something else.)
The soups are dairy free most of the time. A vegan example has been carrot & cardamom with cashew nut pesto. The sweet vegan options are poached fruit and some of Conti's sorbet ice creams, which do not contain milk or egg whites. There is soya milk available for coffees and the actual coffee beans are really good quality, roasted in Wales by the Welsh Coffee Co. The filter coffee is super delicious Coaltown roasted. On some days they serve evening meals; an example of a vegan option served is butternut squash curry with apple, coriander & fennel salad. It is not a vegan cafe but they appreciate the diet and are more than happy to satisfy the requirements.
