Comments: Dial A Curry state that they cater for vegans on the front of their printed takeaway menu. Inform the staff that you are vegan; some options are suitable and others can be customised. They are also happy to make vegan dishes that are not on the menu. It is regularly used by local vegans. They have a food hygiene rating of 5. Free home delivery is offered within a 7 mile radius.

Comments: This is a lovely place that has vegan options available. Examples of the sort of dish you might expect include ratatouille on a jacket potato or as a casserole, mushroom Stroganoff and delicious sweet potato fries. The décor and the shop downstairs are very nice too.

Comments: There is a separate vegan menu with starters of jackfruit wedges, balsamic mushrooms and buffalo cauliflower wings, mains of tikka masala, button mushroom bourguignon pie, Moving Mountains B12 burger, buffalo cauliflower tacos and aubergine, butternut & pepper bake and desserts (all served with vegan vanilla ice cream) of raspberry jam donut pudding, chocolate & cherry cheesecake and rhubarb & ginger pudding. It also lists the vegan friendly drinks. Check that any fried items have not been cooked in the same fryers as animal products.

Comments: Vegan foods, including refrigerated items are available at this health food shop. The staff are very nice.

Comments: There are vegan options on the menu at this small coffee house. They don’t have a large food offering; more snacks and light bites. The favourite vegan choices are the houmous, avocado & baby spinach sourdough sandwich (ask for no butter), mashed avocado on toast and houmous & olive lentil salad. They also serve vegan ‘bare bones’ granola at breakfast, which can have toppings added to tailor. They always have at least one vegan option on the cake display. They have Oatly and soya milks available for coffees etc.

Comments: There is a range of vegan pasties, sausage rolls etc. in the chiller that can be taken away and eaten. Also as it is a health food shop, there are plenty of suitable snacks on sale.

Comments: They have superb monthly veggie feasts with a massive range of well done vegan dishes. There are some vegan dishes in the other weekly feasts. The pub regularly has music on.

Comments: Explain to the staff that you are vegan; they are helpful and many of the vegetarian dishes such as vegetable dupiaza, pathia, madras, jalfrezi and tarka dall can be provided as vegan. They will amend dishes to suit vegan diners. The pilau rice is not suitable. The mushroom rice is normally made with pilau rice but they can prepare a vegan version with boiled rice.

Comments: They have a specific vegan menu with options such as curry, chilli, a noodle dish, salad, houmous & roasted vegetable wrap and chips. Pizza without cheese is on offer in certain pubs. The breakfast menu (served until 12 noon) includes a cooked breakfast (with Quorn sausages and vegan spread but no beans) and smashed avocado muffin. Soya milk is available for filter coffees and teas and they have a list of all their vegan friendly drinks.
