Mains: Roasted vegetable jalfrezi (spiced mix of roasted potatoes, red onion and red & green peppers in a jalfrezi sauce, served with a mixed salad & rice), veg patch burrito (butternut squash and red pepper with a mix of pearl barley, black turtle beans, cannellini beans, red kidney beans, lentils, sweetcorn, pinto beans & quinoa, in a lightly spiced, smoky tomato sauce, wrapped in a toasted tortilla, served with mixed salad and cool salsa).
Sides: Harissa rice or lime & coriander infused rice.
Puddings: Apple pie (served with vegan ice cream), praline chocolate tart (served with vegan ice cream).

Our comments: Harvester restaurants have labelled vegan options. The suitable mains are aubergine & red lentil tagine (giant couscous cooked with apricots, raisins, coriander & red pepper, topped with a Moroccan-inspired spiced stew, with flat bread & houmous), penne arrabiata (with black olives & grilled kapia pepper) and stuffed red pepper (stuffed with sweet potato, black bean & quinoa chilli, with golden rice & beans and sweet potato fries). The vegan sides are fries, sage & onion seasoned fries, sweet potato fries, golden rice & beans. For dessert you can have the coconut & black cherry rice pudding. The breakfast menu is served until 11.30am and the Hipster breakfast is labelled vegan. This consists of two hash browns, two vegan sausages, grilled tomato, flat mushroom, spinach, baked beans, avocado & a roasted red pepper dip. Soya milk is stocked for drinks.
There are two labelled vegan dishes on the menu; vegetable & coconut curry (with cauliflower, green beans, mangetout & peppers, served with rice) and sweet chilli noodles (wheat noodles, baby corn, water chestnuts & pak choi, in a sweet chilli sauce, flavoured with soy, ginger & chilli).
There are two labelled vegan options on the menu: Lentil & parsnip cottage pie (seasoned lentils topped with parsnip mash served with baby potatoes, peas & vegan gravy), sweet potato, lentil & spinach dhansak (served with basmati rice, fresh tomato & onion salsa and mango chutney). A vegan serve is also available for the sweet & sour crispy Quorn and jerk bean burger options.
The pizza bases do not contain any non-vegan ingredients but there may be a risk of cross contamination from animal products. If you find this acceptable, pizzas without cheese can be ordered from Papa John’s. The sides of corn on the cob and potato wedges are suitable for vegans.
