After 3pm they serve nachos queso, the vegan version would tortilla chips topped with jalapenos, pico de gallo & guacamole.

Comments: There are labelled vegan options on the menu; starters, salads, a wrap, sweetcorn patty burger, chickpea & callaloo and aubergine curries and plenty of sides. The suitable dessert is a salted caramel brownie with light chocolate ice cream. Vegan drinks are also labelled including cocktails, some with coconut milk.

Comments: The vegan option is the appetizer of crispy garlic mushrooms, the main of spiced black bean steak with fries & roasted vine tomatoes plus unlimited salad. As it is a steakhouse, not all vegans will be comfortable here.

Comments: Wahaca have a pretty good vegan menu including tacos, tostada, burritos, enchiladas, salads, starters, sides and a sorbet dessert.

Comments: Choose between rice, noodles or mixed vegetables for your base. Make sure you ask for no egg. Add what you fancy from shitake or champignon mushrooms, tofu, pineapple, pak choi, bamboo shoots, baby corn, broccoli and/or cashew nuts. The toppings of peanuts, fried garlic, fried onions, sesame seeds mix and fresh coriander are also suitable. Then choose a sauce from the vegan options of Hong Kong (sweet & sour), Tokyo (teriyaki), Hot Asia (hot) or Bali (Oriental peanut). The other sauces are not vegan. They cook it in front of you. There is another branch on Wellfield Road in Roath.

Comments: The vegan options are labelled. There are roll, nigiri and a temaki hand roll sushi dishes, some containing vegan mayo and four salads. The hot food choices are miso soup, a gyoza, fried rice, katsu & katsu curry options, a ramen, a yakisoba dish and some street foods including a mushroom teriyaki burger. A fresh fruit plate and chocolate pot are the desserts.

Comments: Ask for the vegan menu; it has starters, pizzas , salads and sides. Vegan mozzarella cheese is available for the pizzas. The beers brewed here are also suitable for vegans.
